You have to love a good old animated timeline they have been around and employed in many ways on the internet so its a little ironic that one here shows the spread of the internet. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8552410.stm Also if you ever have to explain how a website display its content on a person's computer you could do a lot worse that this animated guide - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8552415.stm Finally what looks to be a relatively interesting study/program about the internet on Radio 4 and Online called Super Power http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/specialreports/superpower.shtml

Internet Infographic

Cool visual ways of presenting lots of data are getting more common, and cooler to look at - this is not particularly innovative but very easy to digest.

The copyright to your life?
How important is your Copyright to your life - this film is worth watching if the answer to this question is important to you. It is called we live in public
This reminds me of a consumer version of the Googlezon film some years back. This time with a more populus angle a bit like EDTV / crossed with Big Brother. Shows the future of the reality TV generation not so far away.
Everything is free here except for the video we make of you, that we own. Nice idea.

Web Trends List

I found this nice idea by iA inc.
There are loads of visual interpretations of the internet but this is a top 100 of all the most popular domains/sites. It also includes the power 100 people. It combines both and uses a map of the Tokyo underground system as the canvass. Nice idea and not too many surprise in the list.
